Arc spray
Arc spraying is a technique where two electrically conductive materials are transported through a spray gun. Between the ends of these wires an electric flame arc is drawn causing it to melt. The melted material is then trans-ported via compressed air to the work piece.
The arc temperature of approximately 4.000ยบ c provides a larger spray capacity and adherence as opposed to autogenously wire spraying. This process allows a top quality coating to be applied quickly and affordably. It is particularly suitable for larger areas where the coating layer can be more than 15 mm thick.
